INSPIRE is made possible by the Scottish Funding Council SPIRIT programme and aims to build university-industry collaborations in the area of physics and life sciences or medicine. This event will showcase the existing industry partnerships and encourage new ones.
In addition to presentations from our current partnerships, there will be talks from Tim Ashton of Vascutek on technology development from an industrial perspective, and from Nick Psaila of Optoscribe on the journey from PhD to CEO of a spin-out. The event will therefore be relevant to anyone interested in the industrial applications of research and the process to commercialisation.
The meeting will be held at Heriot-Watt University on the 13th June. Registration opens at 08:45, with a welcome address at 09:15. The event will close at 14:00 registration is via the following link: http://supainspire2012.eventbrite.co.uk/ .
