3 Research Fellows in Experimental Condensed Matter and Atomic Physics
Scottish Universities Physics Alliance (SUPA)
Salary - £26,915 - £40,711 per annum
The Scottish Universities' Physics Alliance (SUPA) announces up to two SUPA Advanced Fellowships (SAFs) and one Research Fellowship in low temperature condensed matter and atomic physics. SUPA is a trans-institutional alliance that pools physics research resources across Scotland; among its several new initiatives is one in Quantum Ordering under Extreme Conditions (QOEC) bringing together groups in St Andrews and Edinburgh. We seek three experimental physicists, each for up to two years, to work on aspects of this initiative. The posts will be based at the University of St Andrews, but there will be the opportunity for one of the SAFs to work closely with the group of Prof AD Huxley of the University of Edinburgh.
Post 1: Ref PS191/07 - SUPA Advanced Fellowship in Low Temperature Condensed Matter Physics.
Post 2: Ref PS192/07 - Research Fellowship in Low Temperature Condensed Matter Physics.
Post 3: Ref PS193/07 - SUPA Advanced Fellowship in Atomic or Low Temperature Condensed Matter Physics.
These posts are graded at 6 or 7 as outlined in the further particulars.
