REF 11331/DPL/A3
Six Scottish Universities have come together to form a research alliance in Physics, SUPA (Scottish Universities Physics Alliance). The aim is to place Scotland at the forefront of research in Physics through an agreed national strategy, an inter-institutional management structure, and co-ordinated promotion and pursuit of excellence.
A SUPA fellowship position is available, initially for four years, to work on Higgs phenomenology as part of the ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). You will have a PhD in experimental or theoretical particle physics and will have undertaken physics studies or analysis relevant to the needs of high-energy colliders. Experience with advanced software programming and a background in phenomenology as related to LHC Higgs searches is an advantage.
Letters of application, including two CVs, the names, postal and e-mail addresses and fax numbers of two academic referees, should be sent to: Professor A. T. Doyle, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Kelvin building, University of Glasgow, Glasgow, G12 8QQ, quoting the reference number: 11331/DPL/A3.
