Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Nuclear Physics. The successful applicant will join the School's group in Nuclear Physics (http://www.ph.ed.ac.uk/nuclear). We are seeking to appoint someone with an outstanding track record in the area of Hadron Physics, and would also consider candidates in the fields of Exotic Nuclei and Nuclear Astrophysics. A commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching is essential, and there will be an opportunity to teach within the new SUPA Graduate School. The University of Edinburgh is a member of SUPA (http://www.supa.ac.uk), a new trans-institutional alliance that creates a common strategy for physics research across Scotland. A joint theme in Nuclear Physics is being carried forward with our colleagues in SUPA. The position is funded for a 5 year fixed term by SUPA. Exceptional candidates may be considered for a permanent position (see further particulars). The expected start date will be October 2005.
