Reader/Lecturer in Laser Plasma Nuclear Physics (Strathclyde)
Applications are sought for a permanent position in the Department of Physics. The Department's research is organised around three research areas - Materials, Optics and Plasmas - and seeks to appoint a researcher with an excellent track record in high intensity laser plasma physics. Because this is a SUPA appointment collaborating with a nuclear physics group it would be advantageous that the candidate has some knowledge of nuclear physics.
You will be expected to carry out a full range of academic duties, including teaching and administration as well as research - appropriate training and career development opportunities will be provided. Although a research record will be the primary criterion for appointment, interest in and aptitude for undergraduate teaching will be an important factor and some teaching experience will be an advantage.
Salary in the range:£23,643 - £45,885 per annum.
