Research/Academic Fellowship (RCUK) In Theoretical Particle Physics (Glasgow)
The post, supported by research Councils UK, is to pursue a world class research programme in theoretical particle physics; to teach physics and possibly astronomy at all undergraduate levels and postgraduate level theoretical particle physics and to carry out allocated administrative tasks. The teaching and administrative workload will be built up progressively over the five year period of the fellowship, allowing time to develop as a research leader. At the end of the fellowship the post will become a full lectureship.
Key Tasks:
To carry out a demonstrably active research programme at international level in theoretical particle physics in collaboration with other theorists and experimentalists inside the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance and elsewhere.
As the fellowship progresses, to teach physics and possibly astronomy at all undergraduate levels and postgraduate theoretical particle physics.
As the fellowship progresses, to carry out administrative tasks assigned to you by the Head of Department and the Head of the Theoretical Particle Physics (PPT) group.
