2010 SUPA Business Plan Competition

Then enter the SUPA Business Plan competition to compete for a share of a £10,000 prize fund!

All competition entries must be received on the official entry form by 1pm on Friday 19 February 2010.

The Competition

The competition is designed to inspire the next generation of physics entrepreneurs and generate new high-growth businesses. The competition is split into two stages with the initial entry of a short Business Idea.

The winners will then progress to a full business plan competition where they will be assisted by business mentors, with the final judging taking place at a pitching event.

What are the judges looking for?

The judges will be looking for the entrants to demonstrate:
• A clear statement of the benefits of the products or services, from the customer’s perspective
• A good understanding of the competitive market environment
• The potential for a high-growth profitable company with sustainable competitive advantage
• A viable business plan for the enterprise creation
• An understanding of the skills necessary to succeed and a plan to build the management team
The judges will also be looking for commitment, enthusiasm and the ability to drive the ideas into life.
